About the Role:

10Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator. This position will be an instrumental member of the team, helping to ensure the security, availability, and performance of our databases. Ideally, candidates will possess a drive for thinking creatively to resolve complex problems and enjoy contributing to solutions keeping the business objectives and deliverable timelines front of mind.

A Successful Database Administrator will:

• Design, implement, and maintain the company's databases.
• Manage database security and access.
• Troubleshoot database issues.
• Work with the engineering teams to design and optimize queries.
• Work with the DevOps and IT team during Disaster Recovery exercises and ISO 27001 certification.
• Provide support to engineering and customer support teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or another related field
• 2 to 5 years of working experience with PostGres on Cloud SQL (Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong understanding of database design and implementation.
• Experience working on a SAAS or PAAS product.
• Experience monitoring databases used by application with large customer base.
• Experience with database security and backup/restore procedures.
• Experience fine-tuning queries and database.
• Knowledge of SQL execution plan and Index B-tree structure
• Knowledge of high-availability architecture (database replication including WAL technology).
• Knowledge of microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling (Star and Snowflake schema).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (long-running queries, slow responses).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with BigQuery (querying, partitioning, storage optimization)

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

• S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $64,100 to $133,100. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
• In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
