Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating service requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. Responsibilities:
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their service needs
- Create detailed work orders for technicians, including necessary repairs and estimated costs
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs
- Find and order needed parts
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all service transactions
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive services and repair processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Proficient in using computer software for creating work orders and tracking repairs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
