S&G Carpet and More is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Associate

We are seeking individuals with a natural talent for sales that are looking for an opportunity to grow their career. If you have success selling other products, we have a terrific training program to quickly get you up to speed on everything you need to know to be a flooring expert.

You will gain true job satisfaction by working with customers, one on one, to help them transform the look of their home. You will have the opportunity to really get to know your customers while you support them during a 1-4 week selling and installation timeline.

Flooring is a growing $15.5 Billion a year industry with tons of opportunity for career advancement. S&G is the leading retailer of flooring in Northern California with an amazing reputation for high quality products, expert installation, and amazing customer service.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week/ Every Sunday off / Never work past 6:30pm

Compensation: $18.50 an hour during the training period. Upon completion of the training program base salary is $16.00 plus commission and bonuses. Sales consultants generally earn between $25.50 and $37.50 per hour ($52,000 and $78,000 per year in total compensation).

  • Ability to recognize and capitalize on opportunities at point-of-sale.
  • Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills to engage with customers.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at prospecting new customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to existing customers.
  • Prompt, dependable, and responsive to customer needs.
  • Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.
  • Exceptional team player and skilled at working well under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Capacity to stand and walk around for extended periods of time.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous sales experience (retail experience included).
  • Positive attitude and self-confidence when working with the public.
  • Motivated, ambitious, with a high level of importance in landing sales.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Open to training and learning product line (we will train you).
