Position Summary
The Site Leader must be organized and able to supervise all manufacturing processes at our plant.
He/She is responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met while following health and safety protocols.
To be successful as a Site Leader you must be able to multitask, have excellent communication skills, and fosters positive relationships with customers and employees.
Responsibilities
Ensure all day to day operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, to meet the demands of the business.
Develop and manage to a budget, optimizing production cost efficiency on a year over year basis.
Implement best practices and processes across the facility: Supply chain management and procurement (category strategy, supplier relationship management, bid processes, etc.) to drive sustained cost savings and stability of supply.
Drive production and labor efficiencies through optimal scheduling, process improvements, and incentive alignment around key performance indicators. Working closely with the commercial teams and interfacing with customers on a regular basis Develop and manage the operations strategy, with an implementation plan of comprehensive systems and processes designed to drive continuous improvement in procurement, production, packaging, and distribution.
Ensure that all operations exceed all regulatory standards for quality, EH&S and other applicable regulations across the facilities. Engage resources as necessary to effect and maintain an incident and injury free workplace in full compliance.
Optimize shipping and fleet operations, creating a flexible system that will allow expansion of the distribution footprint to be executed as seamlessly as possible.
Requirements
Operate the site efficiently and be P&L accountable at the site level to maximize overall margin growth for the company through optimized plant performance.
Generate capital investment proposals, evaluate feasibility, develop recommendations to Site Leader and CEO, create and oversee implementation plans, and monitor effectiveness of such projects. Lead the People/Talent Development process by managing and developing direct reports within the operations team.
Accountable for selection, performance management and coaching of plant leaders. Responsible to ensure clear accountabilities, goal alignment, personal development, and performance management processes.
Ensure quality/service requirements are a key element of all site and regional strategies including long term capital planning and asset utilization.
Develop and implement site masterplans/long term strategy for each site and supply chain network. Drive improvements and investments against this strategy.
Review and approve the site level operational budgets developed for plants within the region to ensure compatibility and compliance with overall goals of the corporation. Monitor plant financial performance and drive appropriate adjustments based on actual vs. planned volumes.
Experience in Chlor-Alkali Industry
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Industrial Management, or related field required. At least four years of related experience required. Engineering background preferred, but not required
