TITLE: Brake Press Operator

ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite
START DATE: March/April 2024
SHIFT: 6am – 2:30pm M-F

We are looking for a Brake Press Operator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for operating brake press equipment and maintaining the machine and surrounding area.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Chooses correct dies for the part material and size of bend.
• Determines brake press stroke by material bend and thickness.
• Select backstop to optimal dims per print.
• Situates workpiece onto brake press by hand, per print. May need to partner with another individual for larger pieces.
• Take off parts from the machine and examine each print.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience utilizing a brake press is strongly preferred.
• Will consider machine shop experience and ability to be taught to run a brake press.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Trade school with mechanical training is highly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to interpret and read blueprints.
• Working knowledge of basic measuring tools.
• Must have the ability to operate power hand tools such as a pneumatic grinders.
• Prior experience utilizing overheard cranes and a fork truck is preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
