Job Purpose

RWS are looking to hire an experienced and talented DevOps Engineer. You will work as part of a distributed agile team leading the development of one of RWS’s internal systems. As a system that is constantly evolving you will be a key member of its functional enhancement and its technical evolution. You will work closely with the engineering team build, manage, and automate our AWS infrastructure and software build pipelines.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
• Management of creation, release, and configuration of production and development environments
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices
• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements

Skills & Experience

• Experience with provisioning, management and maintenance of AWS environments
• Competency with AWS technologies EC2, ECR, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
• Experience with Azure DevOps Build Pipelines
• Experience creating Infrastructure as Code ideally with Terraform
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of operating system administration.
• Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
