A Series A Start-Up, is looking to transform the online shopping experience by offering a platform, where shoppers can engage and transact directly within a conversation thread (i.e. Whats App, FB Messenger, etc).

At this time, they are seeking Machine Learning Engineering Manager where you will own the product road map and scale their AI products and platform. They are looking for this individual to focus on refining their AI Chat bots, enhancing e-commerce search functionality and optimizing their product recommendation systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You are expected to contribute directly to the development of ML models and development in addition to overseeing the growth of a team. Previous experience as an individual contributor as a software engineer is a must.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop their AI Marketing platform, taking full ownership from conceptualization to production
• Lead the entire machine learning life cycle, including project definition and driving excellence across teams.
• Create highly scalable classifiers and tools utilizing machine learning, data regression, and rule-based models.
• Explore innovative approaches for recommendation systems through experimentation.
• Gather and synthesize requirements
• Design and Develop an impactful feature roadmap

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or manager capacity
• Hands on experience with designing and implementing a Large Language Model
• Ability to demonstrate experience in building large-scale production systems
• Knowledge of common ML Ops tooling/platforms

This is a Hybrid role based out of the Bay Area.
