SUMMARY: As an Application Development Manager at RWK IT Services, you keep businesses running smoothly by planning, coordinating and supervising all activities related to an organization’s software applications. The Application Development Manager interacts primarily with the Executive Team, Network Infrastructure teams and Client Success Manager, but will interact and collaborate with all positions at RWK IT Services to help ensure our goals are met.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manages a team of developers responsible for the clients’ and/or organization’s application development and analysis functions
• Consult with clients and evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects, resources and monitors project timelines
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge during the sales process in order to help close business
• Participates in clients’ RFP by providing estimated project cost, budgeted hours and timeline for completion
• Acting Project Manager for all application development projects.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Communicates with clients on regular basis to provide updates on projects and troubleshoots clients’ issues
• Ensure that development projects match clients’ business needs and requirements, furnish end-user requirements, identify and resolve systems issues, conduct pre-testing of systems and make proper modifications.
• Supervise the development and use of new applications, systems software, and upgrades to existing applications throughout their task
• Manage and direct procedures for the application development team towards their utilization for business operations
• Confers with network administrators and software engineers to ensure quality assurance, algorithmic consistency and data processing.
• Architect non-standard training solutions that meet the customer's objectives while fully leveraging our delivery capabilities and driving profitability
• Identify and resolve program errors, providing technical assistance to programmers, analyze existing applications and recommend improvements for these systems; design, create and install enhancements and upgrades, applications software or other programs
• Research and make recommendations on software products and services for procurement; do feasibility studies for software and system products planned for purchase and give suggestions based on findings
• Develop strong rapport with team members and encourage professional development of team members
• Conducts performance evaluations of team members

KEY QUALITIES AND SKILLS:

• Programming knowledge of languages: HTML, SQL, C#, .NET 5 , ASP.NET, MVC, Angular 7.0
• Bootstrap and Xamarin a plus
• Knowledge or experience with Postgres
• Ability to self-start, work independently and achieve high standards to meet multiple deadlines
• Explicitly proficient communicator, including writing, speaking, editing, proofreading and computer skills
• Ability to work well in team environment and deliver high performance as an individual
• Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, balanced business judgment, tact and diplomacy
• Excellent problem-solving skills for highly-sensitive and complex situations
