RWI Logistics LLC is Hiring an Afterhours Dispatcher Near Fort Thomas, KY

2nd Shift - Full-Time Position (plus shift differential): Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (10 hour shifts)

3rd Shift - Full-Time Position (plus shift differential): Monday thru Friday 9:00pm to 6:00am (1 hour lunch)

Must be able to train Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm for up to 4 weeks

Description

Responsible for the movement of freight via outside motor carriers through delivery to meet customer expectations. Works in conjunction with their entire Operations team to support activities related to customer shipping objectives by leveraging our processes and technology to drive efficiency. Daily tasks of tracking freight, issue resolution, and general exception management will make an impact on our customer relationships through the commitment and focus on operational excellence.

Duties and responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Utilizes Transportation Management System (TMS) to track and trace customer shipments/loads through delivery while reporting all necessary information in TMS system. This includes updating load status in TMS (e.g. loaded, pick-up, delivery, empty, etc.) and providing sufficient comments (followed up via email as needed/required) for communication to customer as necessary.
Monitors carriers to ensure trucks are properly loaded and confirm pick-ups/deliveries arrived on time and in good condition.
Validates all load data in TMS prior to marking load as delivered (for accounting purposes).
Leverages processes, procedures, and technology to troubleshoot and resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, implementing solutions, and escalate to appropriate account representative or next level manager.
Provides consistent and exceptional service levels to carriers and internal customers.
Proactively communicates any pertinent information to the appropriate parties electronically and/or verbally. If needed, implements corrective action plan and elevate potential service issues as necessary.
Collects and electronically uploads relevant documentation as required.
Occasionally accepts exception-based spot loads and source for trucks and carriers to complete movement of customer’s freight within predetermined guidelines.
Supports recovery of loads as needed.
Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications to perform the job successfully include:

Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service
Strong time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment

This position is performed in a general office setting.
