Description

Position Summary

Responsible for performing in-depth review of Servicing loan files to ensure compliance with agency standards and guidelines related to the specific area being audited. Review FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines to ensure compliance with the respective audit area. Ensure full compliance with all Federal and State rules, regulations and laws and policies established by the Company. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Conduct monthly audits on Servicing files subject to quality control review and determine compliance with company, investor, and agency guidelines based on audit area.
  • Review information provided including but not limited to Escrow, Loan Boarding, Servicing Transfers, Credit Reporting, etc. needed for audit area. 
  • Check for compliance with established regulations and guidelines pertaining Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, and Bankruptcy. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, applicable laws, and company policies pertaining to Homeowner’s Insurance, Claims, Flood Insurance, Periodic Statements etc. 
  • Complete quality control audits within ACES for each loan reviewed for selected audit. 
  • Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for a high level of confidentiality and security while handling company information; verbal and/or written documentation.
  • Must maintain industry standard training according to company policies.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate at a level consistent with the requirements of this position, including legal documents and to non-technical staff.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications and use critical thinking to make good decisions and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously; holds self to a high level of quality.
  • Must be initiative-taking and enthusiastic to obtain personal and company goals.
  • Ability to stay organized to easily retrieve information and documents as needed.
  • Must maintain knowledge and stay current in computer and network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years Mortgage Servicing experience.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in basic math skills and general knowledge of Office Software. 
  • Minimum of 1 year experience auditing and reviewing files for compliance with company, investor, and applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of individuals across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of all facets of Mortgage Servicing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of Black Knight system MSP

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

  • Mostly sedentary, however, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop; talk and hear.
  • Extensive reading and computer use is expected more than 50% of the time. Receiving and expressing detailed information verbally, in person and by telephone is essential. Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Regular attendance is necessary and essential to this position.

  • Professional atmosphere in a branch environment
  • Routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinet and fax machines.
