SUMMARY

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a national high-end luxury retail store. Expected to ensure daily operations run smoothly to maximize sales and minimize costs. Must have knowledge of sales and marketing and be able to recruit, train and motivate store associates to perform according to their maximum capacity. Manage the store in ways to boost overall revenue and business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize all store operations and delegate responsibilites to Assistant Managers, and Sales Associates
• Ensure store fulfills all legal, health and safety guidelines
• Create a monthly schedule for the store based on business needs, budgeted hours, and staff availability
• Train all new employees
• Motivate employees to exceed performance standards
• Establish professional and respectful relationships with all employees
• Work with the Retail Sales and Marketing Manager on budget expectations aiming for minimum expenditure and maximum efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels and inventory turnover rates. Request product when needed
• Prepare stores for annual audit
• Adhere to loss prevention guidelines and policies when dealing with internal and external theft
• Assist in creating and then adhering to company’s policies regarding transactions at the register
• Professionally handle complaints from customers to maintain the store and brand reputation
• Ensure the store is clean and presentable
• Help to plan and oversee in-store promotial events or displays while having the sales floor at corporate visual standards
• Accept and organize incoming and outgoing shipments
• Analyze sales and revenue reports and make educated forecasts for future seasons
• Send in monthly report to corporate office, and attend all required management team trainings and meetings
• Maintain real-time customer contact details and notes in database
• Prioritize your schedule so you can participate in scheduled meetings
• Explore and expand social media at the store level to help promote store brand awareness and drive traffic to the store
• Expand marketing outreach at the local level through in-store email/catalog sign-up customer registration cards to grow customer base
• Work with various technology and equipment to fulfill the job requirements and be willing to make necessary changes
• Organize back stock according to company policy
• Respond promptly to inventory transfer requests to ship product to customers or other Saint Croix retail stores as requested
