JOB SUMMARY

The Cutting position hand cuts patterns per size of the work order. Patterns are laid out on the grain of the fabric, matching stitch patterns or designs for a seamless effect in the look of a sweater. 

Monday – Thursday 6:00AM – 3:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather all WOG’s (Work Order Group) for a complete garment and process together (fronts, backs, sleeves)
• Layout patterns on the grain of the fabric, matching any stitch patterns or designs. Mark with chalk and hand cut with scissors or electric cutter.
• Quality focus – identifying flaws in the knit, discoloration, or stains in the material and determining the best method to ensure that the flaw is corrected or eliminated from production. Communicate any shortages to the appropriate people.
• Measure pattern pieces via ruler to ensure they are cut to size
• Work as a team with all departments
• Keep work area clean and maintain a safe work environment
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
