JOB SUMMARY

Saint Croix, Inc. is looking for a Knitting Manager to run the knitting department. They are responsible for knitting operations, oversight of the laundry area and managing the warehouse. As manager they will be reviewing department cost, minimizing waste, managing inventory, overseeing product development, and ensuring the quality of the product. They are responsible for the hiring, training, and managing of the personnel that report to them while maintaining a safe working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide and direct Knitting Operators, Laundry and Warehouse
• Assist on the knitting floor and learn basics of the positions
• Assure a safe, clean and enjoyable work environment
• Assure compliance with all company policies
• Hire, train and coach employees to meet company standards while addressing performance and attendance issues
• Attend required management meetings
• Manage production goals and workflow
• Work order management
• Assure quality standards are being met
• Work with design to make products meet their specifications
• Assure sample construction is accurate and efficient
• Oversee laundry processing
• Warehouse receiving and inventory control
• Department budgets
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
