RSM is looking for an agile problem solver and excellent communicator with experience in professional services to join the firm's growing Strategy Advisory practice.

Position Description

As a Management Consulting Supervisor at RSM, you will work with businesses in diverse industries while supervising staff to deliver projects on time, on budget and in line with client expectations. Working on numerous projects per year, you will work on several pieces of any particular assignment - not just one small part - and you will feel a great sense of accomplishment when you are done. RSM's Management Consulting Strategy Advisory Group guides clients through their biggest challenges and helps them take advantage of their biggest opportunities through developing strategies designed to win in chosen markets.

Responsibilities:

The Strategy Advisory Supervisor will be primarily responsible for project delivery and requires strong analytical, project management, and business advisory skills.

• Develop analytical frameworks & service delivery methodologies to support specific industries, geographies, and projects
• Lead discovery sessions with key client executives in a workshop setting to gain qualitative insight into client's current strategy and operations
• Research and analyze data from various sources to make quantitative and qualitative recommendations
• Deliver high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor project progress, manage risk and ensure project teams and clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
• Perform financial & market analysis to model client's growth plans
• Guide the client to make key strategic choices: mission, vision, what markets to be in, how to win in the selected markets, and organizational capabilities which result in a prioritized portfolio of projects
• Project manage complex, strategic engagements that could involve other RSM services such as supply chain consulting, international tax, and technology advisory
• Work with RSM's global network to leverage audit, tax & consulting expertise
• Synthesize recommendations into a strategic plan that calls a client to action
• Actively involved in internal and external business development activities and networking
• Understand firm capabilities across lines of business to identify cross selling opportunities
• Identify industry focus and assist with industry research and targeting activities
• Oversee and drive individual projects to completion and identify opportunities & solutions to client challenges
• Assist in developing new products, solutions and deliverables for the rapidly changing business strategy environment
• Foster the development of younger team members and staff through consistent feedback and peer coaching

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years of professional services experience in consulting or industry
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Entrepreneurial, curious mind-set and experience working with dynamic and growing teams
• Strong conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills
• Project Management experience with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
• Experience working independently with minimal guidance
• Experience with business plan, financing modelling, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Experience with business plan, financing modelling, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to analyze, visualize, and draw conclusions from data
• Ability to communicate effectively & persuasively, both in writing and verbally
• Ability to interact effectively and build consensus with internal and external resources at all organizational levels
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (Post COVID)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree and/or advanced professional degree desired (e.g., MBA)
• Experience serving clients across multiple industries
• Experience developing and delivering proposals
• Experience delivering strategy consulting projects
• Data analytics and visualization skills
