Field Service Representative

We are looking for Field Service Representatives (FSR) to join our growing company! This role is located in Norfolk, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Understand IT technologies, networking and troubleshooting methodologies as well as tele-connect protocols and configurations (bridges, point-to-point, etc.)
  • Coordinate with users and configure unsecure and secure VTC systems to establish connections with remote users and ensure optimal audio, video and others services
  • Schedule VTC arrangements using various tools and methods of connectivity
  • Provide (customer support) to VTC users
  • Be forward thinking; anticipate the needs of users and ensure they are reserved and configured in advance of meetings
  • Be able to quickly troubleshoot and isolate VTC issues / problems, and work well with VTC and network technicians to resolve problems
  • Professional appearance and demeanor in dealing with customers, coworkers, teammates and supervisors
  • Ability to interact professionally and confidently in supporting senior government officials
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Experience establishing VTC connections using Cisco equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of VTC CODECS and protocols, equipment set up, operations, and capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems and related cybersecurity software and hardware components.
  • Qualified as an A , NETWORK , or SECURITY as described in the SECNAV M-5239.2
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and a variety of major PC applications (including Microsoft Office) and the Internet required
  • Experience with Apple operating systems, multimedia systems, and Windows Active Directory networks
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles for installations and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure and use of Token for DoN networks
  • Ability to coordinate with subordinate command POCs to collect, review and validate changes in IT service requirements
  • Ability to provide assistance and guidance to command ISSMs to maintain compliance with required cyber security and information assurance programs
  • Knowledge of Information Technology security principles, methods and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentially, and accountability of systems
  • Experience must reflect skill in the following areas : attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
  • Experience coordinating with all levels of government officials to identify issues, root cause and mitigations and provide guidance with NMCI help desk and field services.
  • Must be able to walk the long distances within and between buildings.

Requirements :

  • Education : Advanced Professional Training / High School
  • Years of Experience : 2 or more years
  • Certifications : A , Network , or Security with an appropriate CE
  • Clearance : SECRET
