RRC is seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to help us build the future of U.S. energy production from our Denver, CO office. RRC is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that specializes in energy projects, particularly renewable energy, throughout the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer Manager to join our team and take responsibility for managing our endpoint infrastructure and Ninja One platform. This role will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our endpoint systems, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage software deployment, patching, and endpoint security effectively. This role will be highly collaborative with the RRC Helpdesk and Infrastructure teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Ninja One software, responsible for configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the platform.
  • Manage and maintain endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring they are properly configured, updated, and secured.
  • Coordinate the packaging and deployment of applications using Ninja One, ensuring smooth and efficient distribution to endpoint devices.
  • Implement and maintain patch management processes to ensure that endpoint devices are up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
  • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, encryption, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, to protect against security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for endpoint-related issues, providing timely and effective resolution to ensure minimal disruption to end users.
  • Conduct regular system audits to maintain the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure the integration of their products and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous system design and implementation improvement.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to junior engineers and technical support teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience with endpoint management and helpdesk tools, preferably Ninja One, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of software packaging and deployment methodologies, including MSI packaging and application virtualization.
  • Experience with patch management processes and tools, including scheduling, testing, and deployment of patches and updates.
  • Solid understanding of endpoint security principles and best practices, including antivirus, encryption, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex endpoint issues.
  • Preferred experience with regulatory frameworks such as NERC-CIP, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-171. Familiarity with security controls and requirements outlined in these frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry and projects is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site deployments, maintenance, and collaboration with remote teams.
