The position: Leads the execution of the Company’s strategy related to the acquisition and on-boarding of talent, establishes processes, policies, and procedures for proactively meeting the talent needs of the Company, and develops and implements programs, activities, and initiatives that enable and support the Company’s goal of hiring and retaining “the best.”

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Talent Advisors to execute on annual strategic goals.
  • Ensures the Talent Advisors are meeting performance standards with their respective business leaders and respective portfolios.
  • Supervises the Talent Advisors by interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training associates and manages their performance in accordance with the Company’s policies, values, and business practices.
  • Interacts with business leaders to resolve problems or concerns and to report on activities/results.
  • Serves as a “player coach” to also support a requisition load for a respective portfolio or department(s).
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment and hiring practices.
  • Tracks and reports on key benchmarks for measuring results by creating open positions reports and by analyzing cost-per-hire, days to fill, candidate sources, candidate quality, and candidate and manager satisfaction with recruiting and hiring results.
  • Supports and executes on innovative and creative recruiting programs and methods that enhance recruiting results and reduce cost-per-hire, including hosting job fairs, advertising via job boards, exploiting college recruitment, promoting the referral program, and other techniques.
  • Supports and executes on specialized recruiting efforts, such as the Company’s College Internship program, New Grad program, High School Program and Ambassador Program. Participates and implements efforts around diversity recruitment, and strategizes and prepares for take-overs and lease-ups.
  • Interfaces and acts as a key point of contact for hiring managers in planning current and future staffing models and needs, defining candidate qualifications, defining compensation within the Company’s salary guidelines, and resolving questions, issues, and concerns about staffing and recruiting performance.
  • Complete various human resources, financial, administrative and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management experience in talent acquisition and recruiting preferred 
  • Previous experience with high volume recruiting
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with proven ability to establish credibility and partner with business leaders to identify talent gaps and needs and create and execute talent acquisition plans.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute fast-paced and high volume recruitment efforts.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and influencing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, and working knowledge of current recruitment and talent sourcing practices and strategies, including use of social media and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, ability to exercise sound judgement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
