Used Car Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the used car department, including sales, inventory control, and customer service.
- Manage a team of sales professionals and provide guidance and support to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize profitability and increase market share.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to make informed decisions regarding pricing, inventory, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the dealership's used car inventory is properly maintained, priced competitively, and presented in an appealing manner.
- Train and motivate sales staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall dealership operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of sales team members and provide coaching and feedback for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales management within a dealership setting, preferably in the used car department.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and ability to effectively manage a large inventory of used vehicles.
- Excellent sales skills with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to support sales staff through training, coaching, and motivation to drive performance.
- Experience with cold calling and upselling techniques to generate new leads and increase sales opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with customers.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Retail sales experience is preferred, particularly in the automotive industry.
