AEG is Hiring a Social Media Manager Near Miami, FL
Social Media Manager is responsible for creating and developing original content specific to Marlins Baseball and other Marlins brand engagement priorities for social and other digital platforms. Will create new franchises, series and one-off concepts; developing show pitch decks to present to Marlins leadership, overseeing the pilot phase of new ideas, and creating a go-forward production plan and launch strategy for all new original content projects. The Director will also provide oversight on the alignment and continuity of content on all social and digital platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Provide oversight of the Social Media team and its content agenda and other organic activity
- Facilitate the creative direction of engagement content for Marlins and Marlins Baseball brands, including entertainment content for both shorter form and longer form digital mediums
- Develop plans for and organize engagement content pre-production, including project purpose, budgets, timelines, and creator resources as well as storyboards, shoot locations and featured participants as required
- Consult on concepts and the digital production of brand and show content for Marlins and loanDepot park
- Consult with Partnership team on digital content concepts for brand partner entitlement and integration
- Work with Marketing director to align social media activity with Marlins Promotional Calendar.
- Proficiency in social media strategy, as well an ability to produce timely and engaging content around live events and other notable content opportunities
- Experience in line producing both live and taped shows
- Ability to oversee and manage scripts, live tapings, and postproduction
- Experience editing with applications such as Avid, Final Cut or Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop)
- Skill in the use of social media platforms, popular listening tools, and industry-standard publishing tools
- Familiarity with media planning preferred
- Experience with digital advertising is a plus
- Collaborative team player able to work with a variety of departments and different personalities
- Strong organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely in-person and through planning documents
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines
- Coachable and possesses a positive attitude; able to handle creative direction/feedback
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (holidays, weekends, evenings)
- Highly self-motivated
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications or related field of study
- A minimum of 5 years professional work experience in digital production, content development, live TV or related fields
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
