Job Summary

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a HR Employee Support Specialist, you will provide direction, expertise and support to business units on a specific human resources function, such as compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, or recruiting. This role will apply basic theories, skills, and practices to accomplish assignments.

What you will do

  • Perform as a member the Talent Cycle team that support all HR functions in the accurate and timely resolution of questions and issues that come into the department
  • Cooperate with other departments and vendors in the resolution of HR related issues.
  • Accurately enter employee data changes into Workday and/or SAP meeting the specified time requirements
  • Conduct background checks validations
  • Work with management to identify workflow issues and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Stay current on company policies, procedures and organizational changes
  • Update existing SOPs and create new SOPs where appropriate
  • Commitment to the protection of privacy for all employee data
  • Reprioritize tasks to meet fluctuating workflows
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Recommend improvements to existing procedures and helping to implement changes as necessary.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 2 years college or post high school training and/or experience in related area
  • 1-3 years customer service experience (preferably in Human Resources), or equivalent experience
  • Computer knowledge and the ability to navigate through various systems, preferably in HR
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while ensuring that assigned job responsibilities are met
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Nice-to-have

  • 4 years college degree
  • 1-3 years experience using SAP and /or Workday system
  • Experience processing background checks
  • Experience with a ticketing system like ServiceNow
