Controller- Contract Role (to FT)

Position: Controller Department: President and CEO Reports to: CEO

The Controller plays a critical role in all financial and administrative aspects of the Company and helps to coordinate the Company’s overall financial strategy and planning. The individual in this role provides direction and oversight to the accounting and compliance functions of the business in the goal of meeting the financial, business, contractual and compliance needs

of the Company. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and has the ability to create detailed financial reports, financial forecasts, and manage financial risk.

Financial responsibilities include managing the financial risks of the Company; providing direction and training of accounting personnel; interpreting financial results and reporting to management; managing the financial planning and budgeting process; interfacing with outside CPA firm, legal counsel, and other consultants and contacts in the financial and business community.

Operational responsibilities include communicating and training personnel in financial, business and administrative functions of company including oversight over personnel compliance; maintaining regulatory permits and insurance required for both the retail food operations and also the food manufacturing plant ;

working closely with the CEO in addressing the financial and business needs; cost/benefit analyses for capital expenditures; cash management; oversight over collection of problem accounts in the receivable process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strategic plan and identify financial opportunities
• Accomplish objectives and establish plans, budgets and results measurements
• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting personnel (bookkeeping )
• Oversee all audit and internal control in terms of the legal risk and financial

management

• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliation
• Prepare budget reports and revenues forecasts
• Manage month-end and year-end closing
• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
• Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
• Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
• Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
• Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
• Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
• Provide counseling on policies and procedures
• Support the development and implementation of ERP initiatives and systems
• Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have industry experience in manufacturing with a preference for individual with experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
• Proven experience as director of finance and administration or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
• CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
• Strong ethics and reliability
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations

Hours

Expected hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Location

Primarily in the headquarters and production facility of Rotisystems (dba Roli Roti)
