The Department of Physics and Optical Engineering atRose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeks applicants for a full-time visitingAssistant Professor position to support the department, primarily in teachingintroductory physics courses, starting August 2024.
The Department of Physics and Optical Engineering offers aB.S. degree in physics, nanoengineering and optical engineering, along with anM.S. degree in optical engineering. The department also supports several minorsand certificates, including a semiconductor certificate, astronomy minor, and amaterial science and solid-state physics minor. Some active research programsinclude semiconductors, nanotechnology, and optics.

Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in physics or relateddiscipline. Degree completion by August2024 is acceptable for this position. Essential job functions include teachingand advising students, primarily in the introductory calculus-based physicscourses, both lectures and laboratories.
