As our new Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach, you will assist the Head Women's Soccer Coach inmanaging the women’s soccer program by providing ongoingassistance in recruitment, training and leadership for student athletes whilecreating positive experiences for all individuals participating in the soccerprogram. You will assist with team and player development and training as wellas contribute ideas and input for practices. In the absence of the head coach,you will lead and demonstrate practices and may have specific positionalcoordination responsibilities as well as supervise other coaches. You willevaluate athletes’ performances and make recommendations and/or decisionsregarding participation in competitions. Through continual communication andsharing information about the program with alumni and friends, you will assistwith fundraising efforts for the program. You will work in collaboration withthe trainers and other staff (equipment, sports information, facilities)assigned to the team and oversee the goal keepers. You will also identify,evaluate, and assist with ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes, withrecruitment responsibilities that may be off campus, including home visits, andassist with on-campus visits (National or International). You will participatein scheduling, planning and travel arrangements, which may include transportingathletes and/or equipment to away competition. You will conduct research forand make recommendations regarding equipment purchases, meeting the continuedneeds of the team. An integral part of the success of our athletic programs,you will support team and players to thrive academically, helping to integrateathletes with Institute and department services. As our Assistant Women’sSoccer Coach, you will be a role model, exemplifying highstandards of sportsmanship, conduct and values in support of the mission andvision of the Institute.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and oneto two years’ experience playing at the collegiate or professional level withdemonstrated ability to recruit academically oriented student athletes. Inaddition to these qualifications, preferred applicants will have a master’sdegree and college coaching experience.
