Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that will challenge and reward you in equal measure? We are looking for a Permanent Lead Project Manager to join our fast-paced, high-energy construction team. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is ready to take on the challenge of leading commercial projects in the construction industry, with a particular focus on glazing. As the Lead Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind our projects, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standard, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
As our Lead Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for:
1. Leading and supervising other project managers and ensuring that they deliver on their project objectives.
2. Working closely with General Contractors to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
3. Managing all installation documents to glaziers and ensuring that all work is completed to specification.
4. Handling all Change Orders and ensuring that they are managed effectively and efficiently.
5. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Proactively identifying potential issues and risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
7. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project manager role.
2. Proven experience in managing commercial projects, with a particular focus on glazing.
3. Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising other project managers.
4. Extensive experience in working with General Contractors.
5. A proven track record in managing Change Orders.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work under pressure.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
