SUMMARY

Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient management and processing of accounts payable transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Process incoming postal mail and AP e-mail
• Manage electronic invoice management system
• Process invoices, including coding, matching, and checking for proper approval
• Reconcile and process employee expense reports timely
• Coordinate processing of payments to vendors on a timely basis
• Management and reconciliation of AP sub-ledgers
• Manage physical and electronic document organization for archival storage and retrieval, including off-site file storage
• Maintain vendor master list
• Manage petty cash
• Manage company p-card program
• Process customer credit card transactions for Accounts Receivable
• Support accounting team with focused variance review including cost driver analysis
• Operate with a high level of confidentiality
• Support controller and senior accountant with month end responsibilities
• Other duties may be assigned, including special projects, as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Major in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
• Accounts payable experience a plus
• Glovia or similar ERP system experience a plus
• Concur Invoice or similar system experience a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, teammates, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
