Data Analyst
Location: Harrisburg, PA, and Remote Reports To: Director of Customer SuccessTerm: Full Time Overview: This position is responsible for performing complex data analytics to detect fraud, waste, and abuse. This role will respond to data requests submitted by the client and internal staff. The role will generate detailed reports in response to client and internal data requests as well as interact with the client to translate data analysis results. This role will develop and conduct in-depth data research projects. This role will identify reporting needs within the organization. Responsibilities: 
  • Respond to internal and external data tasks.
  • Perform data analysis and provide ad hoc query reports and monthly statistics.
  • Create, write, and modify SQL queries and stored procedures using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Design, develop, and maintain data reports in PowerBI.
  • Create design documentation for developed reports and database objects.
  • Assist client and internal staff with identifying data reporting needs.
  • Generate business requirements and design specification documents.
  • Identify business & regulatory impact on reporting needs.
  • Interact with client and internal staff to translate data analysis results.
  • Identify data anomalies and suspicious data patterns and document findings for clients.
  • Analyze business and user reporting needs, document requirements and translate both into proper specifications for each project.
  • Work closely with functional leaders to understand reporting requirements.
  • Identify business areas lacking proper reporting.
  • Meet with user groups to develop meaningful reports.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and effective requirements documents, correspondence, procedures, and reports in accordance with policies.
  • Employee is considered a user with privileged or administrator access to RL systems, logs and/or assets aligning with least privilege access necessary for support of functional business areas and IT systems.
  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of Customer Success.
Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5 years previous experience in database development
  • Establishing a strong business understanding of organization and industry data
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SSMS & SQL
  • Knowledge of PowerBI
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, particularly with customer databases and systems. SQL server experience and database reporting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel
  • Experience with project implementation, requirements gathering, and communicating between developer and user groups. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience troubleshooting problems and questions from end users and clients.
  • The person holding this position must remain current with all required licensing, certifications, and continuing education requirements necessary for the position.
  • Self-driven, organized, reliable and determined team player.
  • Positive outlook and desire to drive and instill data quality throughout the organization.
  • Thinks analytically and solves complex problems within a team structure.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to new processes and requirements in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively communicates technical information to non-technical individuals as and when required.
  • Advocates for innovation and drives change through persuasion and consensus.
  • Translates issues/problems into solutions with tangible changes that improve the team and or the organization.
  • Knowledge / experience of ethical and secure data usage. Such as PII/PHI requirements. Preferred.
Education Substitutions: 
  • Master's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for four years of required experience with a H.S. Diploma.
  • Associate Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience with a H.S. Diploma.
