Position: Bakery Manager - Grocery Store

Job Description:

As the Bakery Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bakery department within our grocery store. Your responsibilities will include managing production, ensuring quality control, supervising staff, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a hands-on approach to bakery management, with a focus on delivering top-notch products and meeting the needs of our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:
• Manage daily bakery production, including baking, decorating, and packaging, to meet customer demand.
• Ensure the consistent quality, freshness, and presentation of bakery items in adherence to company standards.
• Inventory and Ordering:
• Monitor bakery inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and place orders to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste through effective ordering and rotation practices.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, addressing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving any customer concerns or feedback.
• Implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive bakery sales.
• Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise bakery staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections and training staff on proper procedures.
• Monitor and address product quality issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Merchandising and Displays:
• Collaborate with the store's merchandising team to create visually appealing bakery displays that attract and engage customers.
• Execute merchandising strategies to promote bakery products and maximize sales.
• Budgeting and Reporting:
• Work closely with the store management team to develop and manage bakery budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth within the bakery department.
