Rock Creek Country Club is seeking a proven Front of House Manager for our Greene bar & Grill. The Greene Bar & Grill not only serves our Members but also supports golf tournaments and special events. The FOH Manager works with the Head Chef and General Manager to provide exceptional customer service. The right candidate will lead FOH staff to ensure a seamless culinary experience for our members and their guests. Grill hours typically begin at lunch and end by 8pm and the business is open 5 - 6 days a week depending on time of year.
Responsibilities:
- Manages FOH staff which includes scheduling, training, and general supervision.
- Commit to 2 shifts a week as a bartender/manager and 2-3 shifts in a supervisory capacity
- Ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintaining productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Continuously touching tables and getting to know Members and their guests.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
- Organize and supervise shifts.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage restaurants image and suggest ways to improve it.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
- Oversees opening and closing tasks and balances daily and nightly cash drawers.
Experience:
- Proven work experience in a leadership role
- Customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
- Acute financial management skills.
- Availability for weekend shifts, early shift and select holidays.
35 hours a week
This position is eligible for tips and service charges for special events.
