The Rochester Regional Sands-Constellation Heart Institute (SCHI) is recognized across Rochester and Western New York as a center of excellence in diagnosing, preventing, treating, and managing heart disease and conditions. Every physician and member of our staff is dedicated to helping you maintain the highest level of heart health. We take pride in providing exceptional, caring, and personalized cardiac care to each one of our patients, each and every day. Our cardiology teams provides for ongoing management for chronic heart conditions.

SCHI offers patients the advanced, personalized care they need. We have a strong focus on prevention and patient education. SCHI offers a full-service cardiac rehabilitation program where patients can receive counseling on diet and nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, stress management and exercise in a safe and monitored environment following a cardiac event.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Rochester Regional Cardiac Rehab

DEPARTMENT: Cardiology

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday Days

ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of two years health care experience in the area of secretarial, registration, medical billing, and insurance verification.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Registration. Conduct accurate patient registration process by collecting accurate information; verify demographic, insurance and physician information; update accounts as needed; obtain all necessary signatures, consent forms and financial agreements; collect co-pays when applicable
  • Department Management. Answer department phone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff; participate in departmental performance improvement plans; maintain supply of all forms and paper
  • Documentation. Enter all required data into computer system; ensure all reports and logs are completed accurately and on time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $17.25 - $19.40
