• Monitor and observe the scrap pile to ensure that all materials are correctly placed in the designated areas.

• Sort materials based on their type, condition, and value.

• Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This may involve wearing protective gear, following established procedures, and reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors.

• Assist customers who are dropping off or picking up materials. This may involve providing information, directing traffic, or answering questions.

• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as sweeping the yard, cleaning equipment, or repairing damaged material

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that involves standing, walking, or climbing for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working in a salvage yard or similar environment is an asset but not required.

Physical Demands:
