The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. - Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations

- Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and read professional publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends

- Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy

- Oversee tax preparation work that is outsourced

- Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

- Determine legal tax savings and generate ways to improve profits

- Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database
