Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be processing purchase orders, in addition to locating suppliers and researching goods, services and materials. This is the Purchasing Agent position for you if you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional!What you get to do every day- Develop and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)- Process and prepare purchase orders- Assess supplier profiles and examine offers- Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs- Suggest cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts- Research suppliers, goods, and services, and compare options- Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
