Our high-growth client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks specific to real estate and lease accounting, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.Responsibilities:Process real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and ongoing operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Prepare and analyze lease accounting data, including lease classification, recording, and depreciation, adhering to ASC 842 standards.Maintain accurate and detailed general ledger records for real estate assets and liabilities.Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Reconcile bank statements and other accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Prepare various accounting schedules and reports related to real estate and leases.Assist with the preparation of tax filings related to real estate activities.Collaborate with other departments, such as property management and leasing, to ensure accurate financial data capture.Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and relevant accounting standards for real estate and lease accounting.
