Description
Robert Half's client is in need of a Software Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate for this position will effectively be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.
Your responsibilities
- We need a candidate who can maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems
- Produce clear and consistent updates around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams
- Combine resources with Scrum team to contribute true work estimates
- Regulate and give production support
- Customarily implement code-review and join with other developers
Requirements
- Less than one year of experience required
- The ability to write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments is required for success at this position
- We are particularly looking for candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.
- Candidates with familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database) will be the best fit for this position
- Code Review experience highly preferred
- R Code experience
- Practical knowledge of Servicenow Application
- Good understanding of Technical Design Specification
- About Time experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of documentation
- General familiarity with portfolio management
- Demonstrated knowledge of Debug Application
- Command of quality
- Background working with Design Documents
- Strong familiarity with design
- Earlier work involving System Level
- Adeptness in software development life cycles
- This position requires experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc.
- We are particularly looking for candidates with familiarity with scrum
- Knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF, is required for success at this position
- Prior work with API design
