Hogan Lovells is Hiring a SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST Near Washington, DC
The role of the Financial Analyst will involve the production, review, and analysis of reports for Senior Management and Practice Leaders. The Financial Analyst will also support the Director of Strategic Finance with projects and reporting as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Preparing monthly revenue reports for Office Managing Partners, and Practice Groups/Area Leaders
- Assisting in the preparation of the Firm's annual budget. Forecasting periodically, as needed, and providing analysis to support Americas Offices and Practices
- Preparing ad-hoc analysis as required covering a wide range of metrics
- Assisting in preparing schedules for the quarterly and annual Law Firm surveys
- Preparing presentations for the Americas partners covering practice groups/areas, and Americas offices
- Leverage financial background to support and influence key strategic business and practice/office decisions.
- Partner with other Business Services Support teams to deliver reports and analysis for key stakeholders in the Firm.
- All members of the firm are expected to participate in our Global Citizenship program
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player and also able to work independently
- Must be a detail-oriented person and able to work/interact with Senior Level Management and Partners
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines with an accurate work product
- Experience with accrual accounting methods preferred
- Previous experience around financial analysis preferred
- Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.), and
- Knowledge of basic Power BI and PowerPoint a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- 3 years of financial analysis experience preferably in the Legal industry.
- Must be able to lift twenty pounds.
Core Hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with additional hours as needed.
Must follow the Finance department's leave policy, which is no vacation for the week of Christmas and New Year.
