Robert Half is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for one of our clients. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will be responsible for manually testing accounting software applications to identify defects, verify functionality, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting software testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to write clear and comprehensive test scripts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze business requirements and technical specifications to develop test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of accounting software applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Write clear and comprehensive test scripts to ensure thorough test coverage and reproducibility.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that defects have been fixed and new functionality has been implemented correctly.
• Perform ad-hoc testing to identify potential issues and areas for improvement in the software.
• Document test results and provide feedback to the development team on product quality and usability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing and accounting software.

Requirements
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience in manual testing of accounting software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is preferred, and any bookkeeping skills a plus
• Experience writing clear and comprehensive test scripts is ideal.
• Familiarity with issue tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
