We are in the process of recruiting a Procurement Manager to join our team in Vonore, Tennessee. This role involves managing the procurement of commodities from vendors across the US and China and handling inventory. The successful candidate will work directly with existing vendors, negotiate pricing, establish departmental standard operating procedures, and manage the purchase of converted products and chemicals.Responsibilities:• Manage the purchasing of commodities from vendors in the US and China• Work with Request for Proposals (RFPs)• Establish relationships with existing vendors and negotiate pricing• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the department• Manage the process related to the purchasing of products that are converted• Oversee the purchasing of chemicals• Manage inventory effectively• Utilize software such as NetSuite and Microsoft Excel to manage procurement operations• Implement cost savings and logistics strategies in procurement processes• Manage materials handling and purchase orders, requests, and purchased materialsSkills:• Strong skills in Commodity Management, Cost Savings, Logistics, Materials Handling, and Purchase Orders• Experience in managing Purchased Materials, Purchasing Departments, and Purchasing Functions• Proficient in using software such as NetSuite and Microsoft Excel• Strong academic background with a University Degree• Experience in working with Proposals - RFPs, Competitive Pricing, and Department SOP's.The position is 100% onsite and will require someone to live in the local area.For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview
