DescriptionOne of Robert Half's Real Estate & Property clients is currently seeking a permanent Payroll Accountant who would also like to learn Coporate Accounting to join their team. As the Payroll Accountant, you will contribute in finalizing the accurate and timely production of payroll for employees, and also have the opportunity to help with month end close duties. To be considered, interested candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. What you get to do every single day (areas you need training in performing Accounting duties will be given to help you grow!)
  • Execute regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger - Bank account and general ledger account reconciliations - Create invoices as well as process invoices - Process and post receipts to general ledger - Provide customer service both internally within the organization and to our clients - Generate reports through UKG payroll system - Periodically review processes and procedures and make recommendation to increase efficiencies
  • Be of help to staff with PTO accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits, general questions related to payroll, and other pay related issues
  • Meet current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
  • Provide timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
  • Direct voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
  • Originate systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
  • Check data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave

Requirements
  • 3 years of payroll experience
  • Accomplished in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments
  • Expertise in payroll systems for 100-300 employees
  • UltiPro experience
  • Proficiency in Reconcile Payroll
  • Knowledge in an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
