Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our billing department. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims, managing patient billing records, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: Review and accurately code medical procedures, diagnoses, and services for billing purposes. Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies, government agencies, and other third-party payers. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, identify and resolve billing discrepancies, and appeal claims as necessary. Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to service delivery. Generate patient statements and invoices, and assist patients with billing inquiries and payment arrangements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records, including demographic information, insurance details, and billing history. Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, and other staff members to ensure accurate and timely billing practices. Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies affecting medical billing practices. Assist with month-end closing procedures, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports related to billing activities.
