Job Overview:

Little Champs Therapy & Yoga is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Duties:

• Review and accurately assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services provided during therapy sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for therapy services as needed.
• Generate and submit electronic claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers.
• Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims in a timely manner.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and appeals, including coding-related issues.
• Process payments, post charges, and reconcile accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records and documentation.
• Provide assistance and support to patients and their families regarding insurance coverage, billing inquiries, and financial assistance programs.
• Collaborate with other members of the billing and administrative team to ensure efficient workflow and billing processes.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
• Willingness to stay updated on changes in coding regulations and industry trends.
