Robert Half is Hiring a Manager, Paid Media and eCommerce Near Chicago, IL

We are seeking a experienced Senior Manager - eCommerce & Digital Marketing (Contractor) to help drive our client's online sales strategy, optimize customer journey, and bolster digital visibility and business. This is a six-month assignment and could be extended.
As a trusted advisor to the VP of eCommerce, you will wield a significant amount of autonomy, needing to impress with both strategic and executional abilities. Candidates should exhibit a deep passion for paid media and advertising, formidable knowledge of the media landscape, and a deft understanding of analytics, insights, and evaluation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Shape eCommerce marketing strategy to enhance online website, Amazon, and omnichannel sales. • Oversee external agencies executing paid media strategy and facilitate impactful outreach programs. • Regularly assess marketing strategies employed by our external partners, ensuring continuous improvement. • Tactically manage and optimize budget allocation across paid media channels to maximize returns. • Propel Amazon business, identifying core shopper insights, charting objectives, and implementing marketing plans that drive goals. • Deliver accurate and timely budget forecasts and ensure effective resource allocation. • Map out consumer journey structures, tracking alterations in supply and demand, identifying key performance audiences, and monitoring competition. • Identify significant conversion and drop-off points, allowing you to modify landing pages and upgrade user experience. • Collaborate with internal teams, producing custom performance and measurement reports focused on key business-drivers. • Provide guidance on creative brief development based on past achievements, proposed strategies, and landscape opportunities. • Work with the in-house creative team to optimize campaign features. • Consistently track, analyze, and report campaign data to glean insights and refine both the media plan and campaign creatives. • Stay updated with industry trends, platforms, and technologies to ensure our campaigns are at the forefront of digital advertising for online and subscription businesses. • Contribute to marketing efficacy by identifying short-term and long-term website-related issues. • Inspire the growth of the digital marketing team by providing educational and experiential opportunities. • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle, CRM, segmentation, and other key digital marketing concepts. • Previous experience in developing learning agendas to answer key business questions. • Comfortable with ambiguity, welcomes innovative ideas, and champions a "test & learn" and "fail fast" mindset. • Ability to work independently and be capable of creating clarity when presented with unclear situations.
