Description
We are searching for a proactive Help Desk Analyst I to add to our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role will primarily focus on providing technical assistance to local and field users in a dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for responding to technical help tickets, providing IT support for various applications, and proposing solutions to recurring technical issues.
Responsibilities:
Responding promptly to technical help tickets submitted through various channels.
Providing comprehensive IT support for Windows, Microsoft Office, and other internal applications.
Investigating and implementing solutions to technical issues independently.
Identifying recurring technical issues and proposing solutions to eliminate the root causes.
Installing and configuring Windows OS, networked and local printers, and business applications.
Administering and fixing bugs in Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment.
Solving issues related to Microsoft Office applications.
Understanding and applying basic TCP/IP networking concepts.
Setting up and providing support for Audio/Visual systems.
Gaining experience with IT support ticketing systems.
Offering Desktop Support to all users.
Requirements
Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as IT Support or Customer Service.
Demonstrable experience in desktop support is essential.
Must possess solid understanding of IT principles, concepts and methods.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues is required.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote control solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
Ability to interact effectively with non-technical users.
Knowledge of various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux is expected.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are advantageous.
Availability to work in shifts or provide on-call support when necessary.
