Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent opportunity. In this position, you will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, as well as establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.Your responsibilities- Maintaining historical records by filing documents- Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner- Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers- Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions- Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows- Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
