Robert Half is seeking a tenured accounting professional with experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join the team. Our client focuses in financial services and is seeking a detail-oriented professional to grow within the organization. To succeed in this position, you will need excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. Responsibilities: - Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed- Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows- Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records- Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close- Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets- Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll- Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers- Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
