Our client is searching for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist should possess critical thinking skills and have the aptitude to solve problems. The ideal Accounting Specialist has the ability to question when things aren't quite right and analyze data to resolve issues. This Accounting Specialist would benefit our client if they came from the Trucking industry, however this is not a requirement.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely settlement of driver payments and resolving any discrepancies. This role requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with drivers and internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:Driver Payment Processing:Calculate and process driver payments accurately and in a timely manner.Review trip logs, delivery records, and other relevant documents to verify driver earnings.Handle payment adjustments for any deductions or bonuses according to company policies and regulations.Discrepancy Resolution:Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in driver settlements, including but not limited to missing trips, incorrect rates, or disputed charges.Collaborate with internal teams such as dispatch, operations, and finance to gather necessary information and resolve issues promptly.Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of driver settlements and related documentation.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding payment processing and record-keeping.Communication:Communicate effectively with drivers to address payment inquiries, provide explanations for deductions or adjustments, and resolve disputes.Serve as a point of contact for driver inquiries regarding settlements, rates, and payment processes.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline settlement processes and improve efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and best practices
