Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling financial data and assisting in the development of budget projections.
- Assist with grant accounting, including tracking grant expenditures and preparing financial reports for grantors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for programmatic activities.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Participate in the implementation of financial systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to handle Bank Reconciliations
- Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management
- Capability to prepare and record Journal Entries
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with accounting and financial procedures and regulations
- Willingness to continuously improve and learn
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
