Description
We are offering a role in the telecommunications industry for a meticulous Database Developer based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role will focus on supporting Oracle cloud applications, including Oracle Analytical Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud. You will be engaged in a variety of tasks from writing advanced SQL to working with Python and Workday. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop databases or systems that access or integrate with databases based on user requirements
Analyze database requirements of user applications and operations, and provide constructive feedback
Configure and test new business systems data stores, offering recommendations on physical structure, functional capabilities, security structure, and backup and recovery processes
Develop and optimize stored procedures to enhance system efficiency
Document system details and maintenance processes, and provide necessary training to DBAs
Exhibit strong knowledge in the development and deployment of enterprise-wide databases and related systems
Showcase strong skills in data modeling, physical database design, and logic
Support Oracle cloud applications including Oracle Analytical Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud
Utilize advanced SQL writing/development skills
Leverage knowledge of Python and Workday for task execution.
Requirements
Proficient in SQL, Python, and Oracle for database development and operations
Experience in database modeling, physical database design, and stored procedures
Familiarity with cloud technologies and Oracle Cloud for database integration and deployment
Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data security
Ability to support workstation operations and handle enterprise-wide deployments
Proficient in English and Spanish languages for effective communication
Experience with Workday and SQL queries is a plus
Knowledge of EO/IR systems for enhanced database security
Familiarity with data integration and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong documentation skills to maintain records and reports
Knowledge of 'About Time' software for efficient timekeeping and project management
Understanding of data security principles and implementation
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with backup technologies for data preservation
Strong understanding of data modeling and stored procedures.
