Summary: The Database Analyst will be responsible for developing financial reporting dashboards and creating and maintaining integrated database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and advanced knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server. This candidate will be at the forefront of developing new financial reporting tools and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI and manages our company's SQL databases, ensuring their stability, security, resiliency, and performance. Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the company's databases, including database design, implementation, backup, recovery, resiliency, and performance tuningDevelop and maintain database-related queries, scripts, and stored procedures to support financial reporting and data analysisBuild and maintain dashboards in Power BI to visualize financial data and support decision-making processesCollaborate with the organization to design, develop, and implement database solutions that meet business requirementsProactively monitor database performance, resolve database issues, and identify areas for improvementDevelop and maintain database security and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and privacyDevelop integrations to internal and external systems with REST APIs Provide database support to the organization and resolve technical problems as neededParticipate in the development and testing of database backup and recovery proceduresDocument new and existing processes including queries, development workflows, and proceduresPerforms other duties including advanced projects as requiredQualifications:5 years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on financial reportingStrong knowledge of SQL & SQL Server, including stored procedures, views, SSIS & SSAS integrations, SSRS customizations, and optimization best practicesHands-on experience with Power BI and dashboards developmentExperience with REST API development and integrationWorking knowledge of on-premises ERP systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field
