Description
We are in the market for a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to join our workforce in the Semi-Conductors and Electric Component Manufacturing industry based in Riverside County. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in implementing and managing cybersecurity systems and functions to protect our digital assets against cyber threats. This role will also entail leading cybersecurity projects, supporting planning efforts, and communicating technical aspects of the cybersecurity program to IT and Business managers.
Responsibilities:
Execute Cybersecurity projects and support planning efforts, serving as a project lead to ensure high-quality delivery and ongoing controls management
Oversee the design, implementation, and management of Cybersecurity solutions and standards in alignment with government and industry mandates, and cybersecurity best practices
Conduct security risk assessments for IT, Operational Technology, and various Business Departments, working with related owners to track identified gap remediation to completion
Manage external Vulnerability and Penetration testing and track the remediation of identified vulnerabilities to completion
Oversee internal infrastructure and application vulnerability management program, including tools used, procedures, remediation, and reporting
Respond to customer and compliance-initiated security audits, working with IT/OT and Business owners to implement remediation solutions, processes, and procedures
Create and maintain Cybersecurity Program, Policies, Operating Procedures, and Control Documents, and Architectural Diagrams in alignment with security standards
Continuously update the Cybersecurity program to comply with changing regulatory and customer requirements and to protect against evolving cyber threats
Assist Legal Team and Data Protection Officers with policies, procedures, and controls in support of privacy laws and regulatory requirements
Review cybersecurity risks associated with new technology solutions, services, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring their compliance with security policies and standards
Partner with various IT functional areas including technology, infrastructure, application development, and business intelligence on cybersecurity matters.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Security within the Semi-Conductors or Electric Component Manufacturing industry
Expertise in auditing IT systems and processes for security risks and vulnerabilities
Proficient understanding and application of NIST 800-53 security controls
Experience with SOC (System and Organization Controls) reporting and compliance
Strong knowledge of Security Governance and ability to implement security policies and procedures
Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security would be a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
