The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Salinas, California region.Key responsibilities- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports- Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management- Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilitiesPosted by Director of Staffing Scott Moore
